2010 SQUIB UK CHAMPIONSHIPS
BATT SAILS ARE SQUIB NATIONAL CHAMPION SAIL MAKERS YET AGAIN.

FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD OVERALL

( AND SIXTEEN OF THE TOP TWENTY! )

DUN LAOGHAIRE, JUNE 2010
Congratulations to Mike and Penny Fenwick on their fine performance in 'Ghost Rider' . In a truly testing series the Weymouth-based couple mastered a tough fleet to take the 2010 UK title in real style with a fine win on the last day.

Runners-up were Dave Best and Pete Richards with SCYC clubmates Nigel Harris and John Stephenson close behind in 'Banshee'

Note that eight of the top ten Squibs were using Batt sails exclusively throughout the 2010 event.

Veterans Mike Probert and James Bryer ( Pani Munta) finished strongly to grab fifth slot on countback from Mike Hughes and James Smith in the new 'Pocohontas'. This left Roger Harris and Mark Hughes in 7th, the evergreen Gerard Dyson and Tony Saltonstall eighth and the top ten was rounded off by defending champions Chris and Mark Hogan in RicO'Shea.

The 2010 Batt Sails race-winners enclosure boasts RicO'Shea, Alchemy, Sophie ( Sam Cole & Denise Sinclair), Banshee and Ghost Rider.

Our thanks also to many other Squib sailors for helping continue our proud record of success in this remarkable class....

-'Batt' sails have won 12 of the last 13 UK National Squib Championships.
