Chris and Mark Hogam added yet another scalp to their belt

2009 SQUIB UK CHAMPIONSHIPS
BATT SAILS ARE SQUIB NATIONAL CHAMPION SAIL MAKERS YET AGAIN.

1st OVERALL AND EVERY SAIL IN THE TOP 7

WEYMOUTH. JULY 2009
Congratulations to Chris and Mark Hogan on their fine performance in a testing week. They mastered a tough fleet and a tough series to take the 2009 UK title in real style.

Well done also to runners-up Alan Johnson and Dave Garlick while defending Champions Dave Best and Pete Richards fought a close battle for third place with Nigel Harris and John Stephenson in 'Banshee'. Gerard Dyson and Tony Saltonstall won race five in style and finished a solid fifth in what turned out to be a low-scoring week at the head of the leaderboard. The Hogans' descarded result was a fifth!.

Note that the top SEVEN boats were using Batt sails exclusively throughout the event. The 2007 Champions, Mike and Penny Fenwick just pipped Mike Probert and James Bryer for the sixthe slot at the top.

....and here's a remarkable fact -'Batt' sails have been used to win 11 of the last 12 UK National Squib Championships
