BATT SAILS A CLOSE SECOND IN THE 2009 WORLDS

Last summer Barry and Sue Parkin ran in a close second in an eventfulUK Nationals series on Hayling Bay. Going into the last day's racing they were the only boat that could topple Greg Wells from top spot. In the event they won the race but Wells did enough to win the series. A thoroughly deserving champion .

The Parkins use the Batt Sails AP mainsail, flat Code 1 jib and the new 2008M spinnaker. After the series Barry Parkin commented " We have really good speed at all time and I think the new kite is just great. I was pleased we could hold our own in the stronger stuff".

Barry then teamed up with Tim Hall to finish a close third in the 2008 Europeans, going on to runner-up position in the 2009 Australian Nationals and then one point off the lead in the 2009 Worlds.

A great run of performances by any standards.

A great series of results for Batt Sails.

Barry Parkin specified a repeat of his 2008 sails for his Australian campaign.
