INTERNATIONAL RESULTS FOR BATT SAILS

Following his runner-up slot at the 2008 Flying Fifteen Nationals at Hayling Island Sailing Club, where he was crewed by wife Sue, Barry Parkin teamed up with Tim Hall to have a crack at the Europeans.

The new team gelled immediately and came away with a close-run third place and a resolve to 'try harder next time'.

'Next Time' was the 2009 World Championships in Melbourne. Team Parkin posted a solid 2nd overall in the warm-up series, runner-up in the 2009 Australian Nationals.

Here they are pictured 'winning' an OCS. This cost them another bullet, andwith it the Aussy title!

Nice looking jib!

The following week they finished a single point off the lead in the 2009 Worlds.

A great run of performances by any standards.

A great series of results for Batt Sails.

.

For this event they shipped an exact repeat of their 2008 BATT SAILS sail wardrobe, the AP mainsail, FC1 jib and the brilliant 2008M spinnaker.,
