UK INLAND SQUIB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Another great championship result for Batt Sails in the Squib Class
After a tricky weekend on Rutland Water, Squib 136 “Ric’O’Shea” ( Josh Reynolds and Mark Hogan ) emerged as the deserving winners of the 2017 Inland Championships.
Added to their victory in the Nationals earlier this year, this completed an impressive double in this ever-competitive fleet. They were lying third overall after three races on the very windy Saturday and posted a 1, 2 with some clever sailing i Sunday’s light and much shiftier breezes,
At the UK Nationals in Holyhead Dick Batt and Pam Phelan took the runners-up spot in ‘Squib’ and Batt Sails’ dominence at this event was cemented by Alan Johnson and Dave Garlick finishing a comfortable 4th overall in ‘Cariad Bach’.
These three Squibs all use Batt sails exclusively and it is worth noting that Batt Sails have been used to win all but two of the past seventeen UK National Championships.
Batt sails were also used to win the Northern Irish Championships, the Irish Inland Champs, the Irish East Coast and the Irish South Coast events.
Every ‘Batt’ sail is designed, cut and manufactured in the UK at our Bosham sail loft.
