| Hi
Dick, Thanks for the pics. I bet you wish you'd been there!
You are making the fastest FF sails in the world - I can confirm
this. The shame is most people still don't seem to understand
this. Let's catch up soon. Saturday evening at HISC? |

Hi
to all at Batt Sails
Just
to let you know I used the new sail in OK 2072 last Sunday
and was very pleased! Seemed pretty good to me straight
out of the bag, but I will get in touch over the next few
weeks to ask if I can come in with the boat so you can check
it too. Pretty sure the sail's fine but the sailor will
undoubtedly benefit from some set up tips!
Best
regards, Stuart.

| Hi Dick, Many thanks again for
cutting a new jib for Fireball 6. I'm very pleased to report
that my pointing ability improved (although inevitably always
hindered by a wide sheeting angle) and that we were the first
'classic' (i.e. vintage) boat at the Peter Milne Memorial
Open.Ê Amusingly (for me at any rate) we actually beat some
modern boats (14,000+ sail numbers) over the water in both
races despite an absence of trapeze and spinnaker. . Kind
regards. Chris |

Thanks for the great genoa you made me.
It has made the most amazing improvement to the boat you
could imagine. Heavy helm gone as the balance is now right,
sets beautifully and we are now at the front of the fleet
instead of back.

Hi Dick,
Quick thank
you to you and the team for building some great sails. She's
a rocket upwind! We were 4th in class and first cruising
boat. On the beat towards the Needles, we led the 920 Extremes
quite comfortably to Yarmouth, then got ahead of George
again before Bembridge.
Unfortunately
couldn't hold him off from Wooton as it went light, and
he finished 3 min in front after 7 hrs. As we were late
for the pub on Friday evening (another long beat!), we didn't
hoist the kite pre-race. Rounded Needles a few feet off,
scattering lifeboats and RIBs, and up it went - it looks
fantastic!
Best regards,
Al
Dear Dick,
The new sails are incredibly fast upwind in light airs
as in your tuning guide and two sail reaching when eased
at the clew, I am very pleased with them (although the rest
of Burnham isn't). Well done, and many thanks.

Dear Dick
I am interested in a replacement for the
cruising mainsail (plus a jib) that you made for me about
7? years ago.
In terms of durability and performance I
have been well satisfied with it. It has propelled my old
boat to the Inner Hebrides, down the Thames, across the
Wash, around the coast from Gt Yarmouth to Helford (and
up most of the rivers in passing) and many other places
too numerous to mention.
When in company other cruisers are mystified
how we leave them behind. It also does well in club races
where it gets used most Thursdays and Saturdays. The boat
featured on the cover picture of the Autumn Wayfarer News
on the banks of the (little known) Avon in Bigbury Bay

Dick,
Thanks for calling in Sat morn and sorting me out. I feel
quite happy in my mind now and can press on to completion
rapidly.
Just scanned your tuning sheets--very, very good--in
particular the spin pole height explanation. It makes it
so easy to explain and I can use that when instructing.
See you on the water and thanks again

Dear Dick,
Thank you very
much for a useful and entertaining lecture last Wednesday.
We enjoyed it immensely and found the "behind the scenes"
glimpse at modern methods and materials very interesting.
Yours with thanks

Just a quick note to offer mine, and the RSC's Squib fleet's
thanks for your time and effort last Saturday. All those
who attended agreed that not only did they thoroughly enjoy
themselves but they also learned a great deal as well. ....
Once again a massive thank you and no doubt we will see
you later this year.
Kind regards,
Chris Stonehouse. RUTLAND
