Materials.
It takes the best materials to make the best sails.
For CruiseMaster fore & aft sails we specify only Contender,
DimensionPolyant and Challenge woven dacron sailcloth. For
spinnakers and cruising chutes we use Contender and Challenge
ripstop nylon.
Fittings.
Great detail makes a good sail better.
Hydraulically
pressed Rutgerson 'super rings' take the corner loads. Headboards
are rivetted, a leechline cleat at every reef, UV protection
on all furling headsails, U.V screened thread, extra wide
tablings, glassfibre battens with endcaps, chafe points
guarded, etc etc.
Design..
Great design sets a good sail apart from its peers.
The
CruiseMaster range is founded on uncomplicated yet elegant
design principles. All CruiseMaster fore & aft sail
are crosscut, partly for simplicity and efficiency but mainly
because it makes the best use of the qualities of good woven
sailcloth, which is always stronger in the weft axis. In
Cruisemaster these stronger threads accomodate the greatest
loads. Ample cloth weights combine with generous laminated
reinforcement to give an in-built safety factor, keeping
the sails in great shape for year after year.
Value.
Since 1986 every Batt Sail has been computer designed and
cut 'in-house' .
Over
the years we have continued to invest in the best equipment
and techniques. Our experience, skills and efficiency have
all been brought to bear on the Cruisemaster project. The
result is beautiful, reliable sails at realistic, affordable
prices. Quality and value are our watchwords.
